Lincolnshire: Planned strike by firefighters is called off
Lincolnshire firefighters will not walk out tomorrow (Saturday) after a national strike was called off.
The walk-out, planned for 19th October, was set to become the second round of industrial action in the row over pensions.
It would have run from 6.30pm and 11.30pm.
The Fire Brigades Union (FBU) said the Government has now presented a deal similar to that offered to their colleagues in Scotland.

But the union fears sackings as firefighters fail fitness tests as they get older and lose some of their pension.
